Mark, Jean and Samuel Price

We were all deeply saddened by the tragic death of Mark and Jean Price and their young son Samuel in a helicopter accident in 2003.
We lost two very dear friends and two of the most talented, dedicated and enthusiastic members of the Orchestra. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mark and Jean's families, friends and colleagues.
A service of remembrance was held on 31 July 2003 which some members of the Orchestra were privileged to attend.
We commissioned a new work from Andy Meyers to celebrate the lives of Mark, Jean and Samuel, which we performed at our concert in December 2003. You can listen an extract or download a complete recording from the Sounds page.
